Agreement to Terms
By engaging NJ Electric for electrical services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms apply to all electrical work performed by NJ Electric, including but not limited to residential, commercial, and emergency electrical services throughout New Jersey. Service Description
NJ Electric provides professional electrical services including:
- Residential electrical repairs and installations
- Commercial electrical services
- Emergency electrical repairs (24/7 service)
- Electrical panel upgrades and replacements
- Home rewiring and electrical system modernization
- Outlet and switch installation
- EV charger installation
- Smart home electrical systems
- Electrical inspections and safety assessments
Service Estimates and Pricing
We provide free estimates for all electrical work. Our estimates are based on:
- Visual inspection of the work area
- Assessment of electrical system requirements
- Materials and labor costs
- Permit requirements and local code compliance
Final pricing may vary if additional work is required due to unforeseen circumstances, code violations, or changes in project scope. Any additional costs will be discussed and approved before proceeding.
Payment Terms
Payment terms are as follows:
- Emergency services: Payment due upon completion
- Standard services: Payment due within 30 days of completion
- Large projects: 50% deposit required, balance due upon completion
- We accept cash, check, and major credit cards
- Late payment fees may apply to overdue accounts
Warranties and Guarantees
NJ Electric provides the following warranties:
- All workmanship: 2-year warranty from completion date
- Materials: Covered by manufacturer warranties
- Code compliance: All work meets current electrical codes
- Safety standards: All work performed to industry safety standards
Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, abuse, natural disasters, or modifications made by others after our work is completed.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing clear access to work areas
- Obtaining necessary permits (when required)
- Coordinating with utility companies for service disconnections
- Protecting personal belongings in work areas
- Following safety instructions provided by our electricians
Safety and Liability
We are committed to safety and require all customers to follow safety instructions provided by our electricians. Customers are responsible for ensuring the safety of children and pets during work hours.
Emergency Services
Our 24/7 emergency services are available for urgent electrical issues including power outages, electrical fires, and safety hazards. Emergency service rates apply outside normal business hours. We prioritize safety and will address immediate hazards before scheduling non-emergency repairs.
Cancellation Policy
Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice at no charge. Same-day cancellations may incur a service fee. Emergency services are not subject to cancellation fees.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from our services will be resolved through good faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be subject to binding arbitration in accordance with New Jersey state law.
Limitation of Liability
NJ Electric's liability is limited to the cost of the services provided. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific services in question.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and will apply to all future services. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
